The Iloilo A. Diasnes taekwondo gym recently made noise in the prestigious 2021 Online Visayas CPJ (Carlos Palanca Jr.) Poomsae & Speed Kicking Taekwondo Championships.
An astonishing 33 total clinched medals was achieved by the taekwondo gym with nine gold medals, 10 silvers, and 14 bronze.
For the poomsae event, Nash Ivan Eraste, Rojohn de la Cruz, Margareth Anne Aguana, Kristi Marie Siscar, and Cindy Joy Diasnes brought home the gold medals.
Meanwhile, Almar Diasnes, Oscar Damasco, Franz Angelo Fernandez, Justine James Diasnes, Elisha Venice Aguilar, Seth Ryan Templanza, and Alfie Diasnes were able to secure a silver-medal finish.
Poomsae event bronze medal finishers were Elizabeth Marie Borres, Artha Camille Tanagon, and Jesseray Lucas Frantilla.
The free kicking event was also the same story as Almar and Alfie Diasnes and de la Cruz were the gold medal finishers while Adriano Horlador III beat the clock to stay within second place.
Bronze medalists were Eraste, Justin Diasnes, Templanza, Frantilla, Janus Miguel Tacsagon, Sherimei Anne Hojilla, Clarence Jotham Gancero, Denzil Palonpon, and Mary Noelle Alim.
The Online Visayas CPJ tournament, one of the most prestigious inter-region competitions in the Philippines, took place last April 11 and was hosted by Region VIII.
