The Iloilo A. Diasnes taekwondo gym never ceases to amaze after another spectacular finish during the 2021 SMART/MVPS Online National Interschool Speed Kicking Taekwondo Championships.
Diasnes’ return to action featured an outstanding seven-medal finish with two gold medals, three silvers, and two bronze.
Mentored by Western Visayas’ staple coaches in Alan Diasnes, Flora Navales, and Alfie Diasnes, the gym soared to greater heights once again and kept their medal haul consistently since taekwondo adapted to the new normal of online competitions.
Ateneo de Iloilo’s Gabrielle Dominique Dacumos and Pavia National High School’s Rojohn de la Cruz heads the list as the gold medal winners for the prized taekwondo gym.
Also, Ateneo’s Kian Ezekiel Castigador, Zion Nickolo Guinez of Santo Domingo Elementary School, and Albert Gabrielle Caguicla of Assumption Iloilo brought the silver medals home while CPU’s Seth Ryan Templanza and Colegio de San Jose’s Franz Angelo Fernandez were the third-placers.
Meanwhile, the Seth Ryan Templanza Taekwondo Academy handled by coach Navales also impressed in the national competition.
The taekwondo gym nabbed a total of two gold medals courtesy of outstanding performances from Rogin Ace Segurigan and Princess Dennisse both from Oton National High School.
