ICPO seizes PHP 112.5 million shabu, arrests 654 suspects

ILOILO CITY — The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) seized about 16.54 kilograms of suspected shabu during sustained anti-drug operations in the first nine months of 2026.
The confiscated shabu, or methamphetamine hydrochloride, had an estimated standard drug price of PHP 112.5 million.
From Jan. 1 to Sept. 30, ICPO arrested 654 drug suspects in 543 operations.
ICPO said 174 of those arrested were classified as high-value individuals (HVIs), while 459 were classified as street-level individuals (SLIs).
Another 12 suspects were arrested by virtue of warrants, while nine were categorized as not-listed individuals.
The ICPO City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) conducted the most operations with 73, followed by Iloilo City Police Station 4 in Molo with 65.
ICPS 2 in La Paz conducted 56 operations, while ICPS 6 in Arevalo carried out 48.
ICPS 9 in Jaro and ICPS 10 in Mandurriao conducted 46 operations each, while ICPS 3 in Jaro recorded 45.
ICPS 8 in Lapuz and ICPS 1 in City Proper conducted 42 operations each, while ICPS 5 in Mandurriao recorded 39 and ICPS 7 in City Proper had 38.
The Iloilo City Mobile Force Company conducted three operations, bringing the total to 543.
During the same period, ICPO operating units also confiscated 287.8103 grams of marijuana, 3.1316 grams of high-grade marijuana or “Kush,” and 2.8377 grams of liquid marijuana.
Col. Wilbert Parilla, Iloilo City police chief, commended the operating units for their sustained efforts and recognized the community’s continued support and cooperation in the campaign against illegal drugs.
“Magpatuloy tayo sa laban kontra ilegal na droga. Bawat operasyon ay proteksyon sa buhay at kinabukasan ng ating mga kabataan. Sama-sama nating panatilihing ligtas ang ating komunidad,” Parilla said.
ICPO said it would continue strengthened law enforcement and community-based efforts against illegal drugs while coordinating with partner agencies and communities to protect Iloilo City residents.
