The Iloilo City Police Office said it is prepared to provide security for the holiday season and pre-Dinagyang activities.
Colonel Kim Legada, Iloilo City police chief, said they are fully ready to implement comprehensive security measures for Simbang Gabi 2025 from Dec. 16 to 24, and for the Dinagyang 2026 Pamukaw festivities.
With thousands of residents and visitors expected to take part in these traditional and cultural events, the ICPO will deploy sufficient personnel and maximize visibility patrols in all areas of convergence as part of its Ligtas Paskuhan 2025 security coverage.
Legada said all police units have been directed to strengthen security operations, ensure orderly traffic flow, and maintain close coordination with church leaders, barangay officials, and event organizers.
“Our commitment is to safeguard every Ilonggo and visitor during these significant celebrations,” he said.
Through intensified police presence and community cooperation, Legada said they are confident that Simbang Gabi and the Dinagyang 2026 Pamukaw will remain safe, peaceful, and orderly.
The ICPO has also activated Police Assistance Desks in churches and key areas, enhanced intelligence monitoring, and mobilized force multipliers to help maintain peace and security.
