BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) has already prepared its personnel to be deployed to secure the caravan and campaign sortie of Vice President Leni Robredo and her slate here on Friday, March 11.
However, Lieutenant Colonel Sherlock Gabana, BCPO public information officer, did not reveal the exact number of personnel for deployment for security reasons.
Gabana said the security plan was already in place since Tuesday, but the Presidential Security Group advised them not to divulge the number of police personnel which will be drawn from various police stations and other units here.
Gabana said that policemen will be visible at the major thoroughfares for the caravan to ensure the safety of the supporters and the candidates.
Traffic enforcers were also advised to strictly monitor the traffic flow, since there will be temporary road closures for the event.
Robredo and her slate will kick off the caravan in northern Negros Occidental particularly in San Carlos City, and Sagay City. She will then proceed to Kabankalan City, Hinigaran town, and La Carlota City.
Robredo’s slate will then converge here for the “Pink grand rally” at the Paglaum Stadium, featuring the performance of the Rivermaya. Thousands of Negrenses and Bacolodnons are expected to join the rally.

Program starts at 3:30 p.m. and is expected to last for seven hours. The MassKara dancers and several groups of drumbeaters will also be presenting numbers.
