The enhanced Iloilo City Compliance Monitoring Team (CMT) issued citation tickets to more than 200 violators caught for non-wearing of face mask in public and non-observance of physical distancing from Aug 19-29, 2020.
The team composed of compliance officers is strictly enforcing Regulation Ordinance (RO) No. 2020-061 Mandating the Wearing of Face Mask in Public imposing P500 fine for violators.
They are also enforcing RO No. 2020-066 Implementing Physical Distancing imposing P5,000 fine for public establishments for not ensuring physical distancing of one meter space between persons in their premises to prevent the spread of CoronaVirus Disease (COVID-19).
Apprehending personnel are from Iloilo City Sports Development Division, Iloilo City Anti-Smoking Task Force (ICAST), Green Guards, Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO), and Task Force on Moral and Values Formation (TFMVF). (Beatriz Angelica Pequierda/Iloilo City PIO)
