ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A residential house and a stall selling used clothing were destroyed after a fire broke out on Sunday night, March 1, at Sitio Malic in Barangay Población Ilawod, Pontevedra, Capiz.
The house of alias Fatima and a stall with bundles of used clothing owned by her niece alias Genevieve were totally burned.
Reports from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) of Pontevedra said the fire of unknown origin started around 6:06 p.m. from the house of Fatima, which was noticed by neighbors.
The house was made of mixed-light materials and was located beside Genevieve’s stall.
The BFP Pontevedra declared fire out around 6:38 p.m. No one was hurt during the blaze.
Arson investigators estimated the cost of damages at PHP 24,520.
No one was inside the house or the stall when the fire occurred.
The BFP is currently investigating the incident to determine the cause of the fire.
