DoubleDragon Corporation’s subsidiary Hotel101 Global, Inc. said its 680-room Hotel101-Madrid has generated more than 45,000 hotel night bookings since it began accepting reservations, representing EUR 5.44 million, or about PHP 387 million, in hotel revenues.
Hotel101-Madrid, the company’s first operational international property, officially opened in March 2026 and has recorded a very high occupancy rate, according to an April 28 company release.
The company said the strong start supports continued revenue generation from the European market, where the Madrid hotel is now contributing recurring revenue from hotel operations.
Hotel101 Global, which trades on Nasdaq under the ticker HBNB, is a subsidiary of Philippine-listed DoubleDragon Corporation. Hotel101 said in June 2025 that it became the first Filipino-owned company listed and traded on Nasdaq, with a deemed equity value at closing of USD 2.3 billion.
Hotel101-Madrid has been designated as Official Hotel Partner for the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix from 2026 to 2035 through an exclusive agreement with MATCH Hospitality Europe.
The hotel is one of the top five largest hotels in Madrid, according to the company.
Located on a 6,593-square-meter site in Valdebebas, Madrid, the hotel is beside the new Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix circuit and overlooks the “Valdebebas Curve.”
The property is a three-minute walk from Valdebebas Train Station, four minutes from the IFEMA convention complex, five minutes from the Real Madrid Sports Complex, and seven minutes from Madrid-Barajas International Airport.
The hotel’s amenities include the all-day dining restaurant HBNB Kitchen by award-winning La Sucursal, two swimming pools, a fitness center, a children’s playground, 24/7 reception, a business center, function rooms, and a proprietary app for digital check-in and digital key access.
DoubleDragon said 2026 is expected to be its biggest year for hotel room openings, with 2,229 additional rooms slated to become operational.
The 2026 pipeline includes the 680 rooms already opened in Madrid, 519 rooms in Davao, 548 rooms in Cebu, and 482 rooms in Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan.
Hotel101 Global said the 482-room Hotel101-Niseko, scheduled to open in December 2026, is expected to generate recurring revenue in JPY.
Hotel101-Niseko will be one of the largest hotel projects in the Niseko area and will mark the company’s formal entry into Japan.
In the Philippines, the company said the 519-room Hotel101-Manila and the 606-room Hotel101-Fort continue to operate at very high occupancy levels.
DoubleDragon said 2026 is also expected to mark the start of high-volume recurring revenues from its provincial community mall leasing, industrial warehouse leasing, office leasing, and hospitality businesses in the Philippines and overseas.
The DD Group said it continues to tap the capital markets in the Philippines and the United States to strengthen its balance sheet as it works toward increasing its total equity base to PHP 500 billion.
DoubleDragon said it expects Hotel101’s asset-light business model to become a major homegrown brand and business-model export that could generate significant USD inflows for the Philippine economy.
