ROXAS CITY, Capiz A male peanut vendor was rewarded for returning a cash-laden wallet.
Erwin Permiento, 38, and wallet owner John Arthur Tan of Barangay Baybay here met at the broadcast center of DyOW Bombo Radyo Roxas where the turnover was held.
According to Permiento, he found the wallet at the Teodoro Arcenas Trade Center where he was selling peanut. His in-law later heard Tan over the radio talking about his missing wallet which was laden with peso and dollar bills apart from personal documents and IDs.
Tan personally thanked Permiento and he gave the latter P5,000 as reward for is honesty.
Permiento has three children and peanut selling was their only livelihood.
