Homicide suspect falls after 9 years in hiding

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 41-year-old farmer wanted for the crime of homicide was arrested Tuesday afternoon at Barangay Buenavista, Dueñas, Iloilo after 9 years in hiding.

Rogelio Hitalia did not resist when the police served an arrest warrant at his house.

Roxas City Regional Trial Court Branch 19 Judge Esperanza Isabel E. Poco-Deslate issued the warrant on January 30, 2012.

The court recommended a P40,000 bail for his temporary liberty.

Hitalia was alleged involved in a homicide case in Dumarao, Capiz. He fled after the case was filed.

He is presently detained at the Dumarao Municipal Police Station.
