PNB Holdings Corporation (PHC) has launched its latest sustainability initiative, EcoStation, in partnership with Ilonggo-founded waste tech startup Rezbin, a multi-awarded company leading the shift to behavior-driven recycling in the Philippines.
The EcoStation program marks a strategic step in PHC’s ongoing efforts to promote environmental responsibility and transparent waste management across its commercial property portfolio.
“As a property developer and asset manager, it is our responsibility to build and operate in a way that uplifts communities and protects the environment,” said Joselito R. Consunji, PHC’s chief operating officer.
“Our partnership with Rezbin demonstrates PHC’s commitment to responsible business practices. Beyond compliance, we want to take meaningful steps that encourage a culture of sustainability among our employees, tenants, and partners.”
Founded in Iloilo City, Rezbin has received multiple awards for its tech-enabled, incentive-based approach to waste reduction.
The startup’s recycling system underpins the EcoStation model, which enables users to scan, snap, and toss recyclables while earning eco points through the Rezbin mobile app.
These points can be redeemed for rewards, making waste segregation both measurable and motivating.
“Rezbin was built on the belief that recycling should be simple, accessible, and impactful,” said Mari Martirez, Rezbin’s co-founder and CEO.
“Partnering with PNB Holdings allows us to bring our behavior-driven recycling system to major commercial properties. By using technology and incentives, we’re empowering PHC’s communities to adopt sustainable habits and contribute to real, measurable impact.”
EcoStation also provides real-time dashboards for app administrators, allowing PHC to monitor recycling data across its properties.
The system tracks the type and volume of recyclables collected, enabling clear reporting and stronger accountability.
PHC said the program aligns with its broader sustainability roadmap, which includes reducing environmental footprint, improving waste systems, and preparing future developments to be among the Philippines’ most responsible and future-ready buildings.
The partnership reflects a growing trend of private sector initiatives focused on circular economy principles and digital solutions to address the country’s waste crisis.
Rezbin’s technology has been recognized both locally and internationally for making environmental action accessible to everyday users, a mission it continues to expand through strategic collaborations like this.
