Hinigaran unveils ‘White Christmas’

Dubbed “White Christmas,” Hinigaranons flocked to the public plaza where the local government held a light a tree activity on Dec 15, 10 days before Christmas Day.

BACOLOD City – The municipal government of Hinigaran in Negros Occidental unveiled this week its newest attraction in the town for the holidays.
Dubbed “White Christmas,” Hinigaranons flocked to the public plaza where the local government held a light a tree activity on Dec 15, 10 days before Christmas Day.
This year’s theme symbolizes new hope and new beginnings amid the pandemic.
Mayor Nadie Arceo thanked the people of Hinigaran, supporters, and sponsors for making the activity successful.
Arceo said he is also thankful that the number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in the town decreased.
“God bless Hinigaran, Kabay pa selebrahon ta ang Christmas na may kalipay kag pagpalanggaanay,” the mayor said.
Meanwhile, Councilor Mary Grace Arceo, said they are celebrating the blessings that the town received despite the pandemic.
“Pasalamat gid ta nga bisan may pandemya, natigayon gid ni nga hilikuton, in which kada tuig gina celebrate gid naton diri sa Hinigaran,” the councilor said.
Last year, the town’s theme was “Pink Christmas.”
