First Filipino Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz arrives in Bacolod City Friday, Sept. 10, accompanied by Samahang Weightlifting ng Pilipinas president Monico Puentevella and, coach-boyfriend Julius Naranjo.
The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental welcomed Diaz as adopted daughter of the province by virtue of a resolution passed by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan in a special session on Thursday, Sept. 9.
Diaz received a resolution from former Governor Rafael Coscolluela and provincial administrator Rayfrando Diaz II at the Social Hall of the Provincial Capitol in Bacolod City. (Capitol PIO)
