Herbal products dealer nabbed in Capiz drug bust

DUMARAO, Capiz – A trader of herbal products from Pototan, Iloilo was arrested Sunday afternoon in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by police at Barangay Codingle, Dumarao Capiz.

Police identified the suspect as Mark Peñafiel, 33, of Barangay Pitogo Pototan, Iloilo but temporarily residing at Brgy. Cubi also in Dumarao town.

Recovered from Peñafiel were 6 sachets of suspected shabu, the P2,500 marked money, a cellphone, a sling bag, and a Bajaj 125 motorcycle color red.

Peñafiel will be charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
