The Converge FiberXers are now in search of a new chief tactician after Aldin Ayo’s departure as the franchise’s mentor heading into the upcoming PBA Governor’s Cup.
According to multiple reports, it was a mutual decision between Ayo and the Converge management as he officially ended his two-year tenure with the PBA franchise.
Since handling the squad two years ago, Ayo not only helped Converge create its own identity in the PBA in just a short period of time but he also steered the team to two playoff appearances.
From the 2022-2024 PBA seasons, the decorated collegiate coach led the FiberXers to two quarterfinal appearances and immediately turned the new team into a championship-contending unit.
Known in the collegiate ranks for his high-octane “mayhem” type of basketball, Ayo handled the Converge head coaching job as his first-ever PBA stint.
