A habal-habal (motorcycle taxi) driver was gunned down late afternoon of Aug 31, 2020 in Calinog, Iloilo.
Mario Comprendio, a resident of Barangay Camalongo, Calinog, was waiting for a passenger when a lone gunman shot him around 5:30 pm of Monday at the motorcycle waiting area in Poblacion Centro.
Without any word, the assailant drew a handgun and immediately shot the 33-year old victim on the head.
It was believed that Comprendio died instantly.
But responding policemen still brought him to Calinog District Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
Captain Genesis Roque, Calinog police chief, said the suspect fled towards the direction of Barangay Poblacion Rizal.
Investigation is still going on to determine the motive and identity of the gunman.
