BACOLOD City – Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said an additional P10,000 bonus for employees is expected to be released this week.
The Negros Occidental provincial government employees are getting the additional bonus each after the issuance of an administrative order by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., to grant the Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) to all employees in the executive department.
The governor said he made a request for additional bonuses before the year ends.
Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said the provincial government has enough personnel services savings to cover the P58.1 million fund for the SRI.
Meanwhile, the Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees (PACE) thanked Governor Lacson for increasing the bonus of the capitol employees from P40,000 to P50,000.
PACE president Renelo Lastierre said, “It will be a great help to the capitol employees.”
Lastierre said they are also thankful after the governor assured them that the Performance-Based Bonus of the provincial government employees will be released in January 2023.
The maximum PBB that can be granted is 60 percent of an employee’s salary which will be sourced from the 2023 budget.
Lacson has asked the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to allow the provincial government to give an additional P10,000 for the SRI of the capitol employees to bring its total to P20,000.
