ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Unlicensed firearms, ammunition, illegal drugs, and a grenade were recovered by authorities in a series of raids on July 15, 2023, here and in the towns of President Roxas and Panay.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) swooped down on a suspected drug den in Tiza, Roxas City where five persons – Danelin Loise Marfil, Glenn Guanzon, Dotheny Araque, Lany Baliota and Rowell Bespejo alias Mark Diaz – were arrested.
Recovered during the operation were P88,000 worth of suspected illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.
On the other hand, police recovered four pieces of caliber 38 revolver with live ammunition and P136,00 worth of illegal drugs during the implementation of a search warrant on Francis Eugene Catalan and an alias Mar at Barangay Timpas, Panitan, Capiz.
Meanwhile, the Panay Municipal Police Station arrested Ramiro Camacho of Barangay Bato, Panay after seizing two caliber .45 pistols with ammunition, a grenade, and P200,000 worth of suspected shabu.
In President Roxas town, around P170,000 worth of suspected illegal drugs were recovered from Albun Clarito during a police buy-bust operation at Barangay Ibaca of said town.
