A man was arrested in an anti-illegal drug operation at about 9:20 p.m. March 27, 2026, in Barangay Pescadores, Guimbal, Iloilo, where authorities confiscated about 370 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of PHP 2,516,000.
Police use the term shabu to refer to methamphetamine hydrochloride.
The operation followed more than two months of surveillance and case buildup, aided by information from community members.
Authorities identified the suspect only by the alias “Kent,” 39, married, unemployed, and a resident of the barangay, and said he was classified as a high-value individual with a previous arrest for the same offense.

Seized during the operation were four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets and five knot-tied transparent plastic bags containing suspected shabu, along with buy-bust money and other non-drug items.
The operation was led by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6, with support from RID 6, PDEG SOU 6, and the Guimbal Municipal Police Station.
