The Retail Price Survey collects retail prices of goods and services commonly purchased by Filipino households and is among the sources used to generate the Consumer Price Index, which tracks changes in the cost of a standard basket of items over time.
The survey is conducted twice a month, with the first phase covering the first through fifth day of the month and the second phase covering the 15th through 17th day, to provide timely updates on prevailing market prices of selected commodities.
