The Philippine Statistics Authority–Guimaras Provincial Statistical Office reported mixed movements in retail prices of selected meat and poultry commodities in the province during the first phase of December 2025 (Dec. 1–5), based on the Retail Price Survey of Selected Commodities used to generate the Consumer Price Index.
During the period, the average retail price of beef (meat with bones) in Guimaras was PHP 385 per kilogram.
“This was higher than the PHP 370 per kilogram recorded in the first phase of November 2025 and the same price level as the second phase of November 2025. Compared with the first and second phases of December 2024, which were both recorded at PHP 345 per kilogram, the price in the first phase of December 2025 was higher,” Provincial Statistics Officer Nelida B. Losare said.

Losare said the average retail price of beef (pure meat) was PHP 410 per kilogram during the first phase of December 2025.

“This price was unchanged from the first phase of November 2025 but higher than the PHP 400 per kilogram recorded in the second phase of November 2025. Compared with the first and second phases of December 2024, the price was likewise higher than the PHP 370 per kilogram recorded during the said periods,” Losare said.
For pork, the average retail price of fresh pork kasim was PHP 360 per kilogram during the first phase of December 2025.
“This was slightly higher than the PHP 355 per kilogram recorded in the first phase of November 2025. The price remained unchanged compared with the average retail prices recorded during both the first and second phases of December 2024, which were also at PHP 360 per kilogram,” Losare said.

Meanwhile, the average retail price of pork (meat with bones) remained unchanged at PhP330.00 per kilogram during the first phase of December 2025, the same price level recorded in both phases of November 2025. However, this was lower than the PhP360.00 per kilogram recorded during both phases of December 2024.

In contrast, the average retail price of dressed chicken declined to PHP 190 per kilogram during the first phase of December 2025.
This was lower than the PHP 200 per kilogram recorded in both the first and second phases of November 2025.
Compared with price levels in both phases of December 2024, no changes were observed.

Meanwhile, the average retail price per piece of medium-sized chicken egg remained stable at PHP 9.50 during the first phase of December 2025.
This was the same price level recorded in both phases of November 2025 and the first phase of December 2024.
However, it was higher than the PHP 9 average retail price per piece recorded during the second phase of December 2024.
