The Department of Trade and Industry is spotlighting the globally acclaimed Guimaras mangoes—the country’s first and only agricultural product with Geographical Indication status—at the International Food Exhibition Philippines 2025.
The DTI, through the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions, will showcase the fruit alongside the colorful Manggahan Festival during the prestigious event.
Under the leadership of CITEM Executive Director Leah Ocampo, premium exhibit space has been secured for the Guimaras Mango Growers and Producers Cooperative.
This prime location will allow local and international buyers to savor the distinct flavor of Guimaras mangoes at the IFEX Buyers’ Lounge.
FAST Logistics will manage the procurement, transport, handling and sale of two tons of mangoes to ensure they arrive in peak condition throughout the exhibition.
The logistics provider will also produce an immersive audio-visual presentation capturing the essence of the Manggahan Festival.
The Provincial Government of Guimaras will add excitement to the event with the “FASTest Mango Slicing Contest” on the exhibition floor.
Koko Mojo Mango Farm will sponsor a cultural performance by five Guimaras dancers, highlighting the island’s rich heritage.
“Bringing world-renowned Guimaras mangoes to the global stage through IFEX reflects President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s Bagong Pilipinas vision—where farmers are empowered, products are celebrated and each region fuels national progress,” said DTI Secretary Cristina A. Roque.
“This collaboration shows the power of unity between government, industry and community. With FAST Logistics and our passionate producers, we’re sharing not just a fruit, but a story of Filipino excellence, heritage and resilience,” Roque added.
The joint effort, led by CITEM and supported by FAST Logistics, the Guimaras Provincial Government and local stakeholders, seeks to elevate Guimaras mangoes as a premier, GI-certified product of the Philippines.
This initiative also aims to build global business linkages while cementing the mangoes’ reputation for premium quality.
