An Antiqueño has officially taken over the helm of the Guimaras Police Provincial Office (GPPO).
Police Colonel Pablito Asmod of Patnongon, Antique assumed the top GPPO post during a turnover of command ceremony on Thursday.
Asmod is considered an “investigation expert” having been with the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD) since 2016 as its deputy commander and later on as its division chief.
He was also assigned to the training unit of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA).
A member of the PNPA Class 1997, Asmod succeeded his upperclassman, Police Colonel Hector Maestral of PNPA Class 1994.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Joem Malong, Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 spokesperson, said Maestral was promoted as chief of staff of the PNP Directorate for Information and Communication Technology (DICTM) in Camp Crame.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Uldarico Garbanzos was designated officer-in-charge of the RIDMD.
