All public transport drivers in Guimaras tested negative for illegal drugs during a surprise drug test conducted under the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-led Oplan Harabas 2025.
Ma. Graziella Tanaleon, PDEA-6 public information officer, said none of the 55 drivers tested at the Jordan Wharf yielded a positive result during the operation’s second day.
Forty-five of those tested were tricycle drivers, nine were jeepney drivers, and one was a private vehicle driver.
A Narcotics Detection Team with K9 “Elliana” also conducted sweeping operations at the terminal, but no illegal substances were found.
Since Wednesday, Oplan Harabas 2025 has screened 1,069 public transport personnel for illegal drug use.
Those tested included 932 drivers, 135 conductors, and two dispatchers.
Four individuals tested positive for shabu, while two tested positive for marijuana.
Oplan Harabas is a nationwide campaign designed to ensure that public transport drivers are not under the influence of illegal drugs and can safely carry passengers to their destinations.
The initiative also involves K9 sweeps of public terminals to promote drug-free and secure travel during Undas.
