ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has started to accept application for emergency loan from its members who are residing or working in the towns of Pontevedra and Sigma.
GSIS-Roxas City Branch Information Officer Maria Victoria Bargas said they have been accepting emergency loan applications from the towns since Aug 22, 2019.
“The deadline for the application for emergency loan will be on September 20,” she said.
Pontevedra and Sigma, together with the local government unit of Pres. Roxas, were placed under a state of calamity due to dengue, thus GSIS members and old age pensioners, whose home or work address is in said towns can avail of the emergency loan.
Bargas said that the loanable amount for those members with existing emergency loan accounts is P40,000, however, any remaining balance from the previous calamity loan will be deducted.
The loanable amount for those with no existing emergency loan account is P20,000, she said. (PIA)
