ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 69-year-old grandfather died after he was bumped by a pickup truck Saturday night at Brgy. Santa Cruz Ivisan, Capiz.
Police identified the victim as Felixberto Villanueva Fabale of said place, while the driver of the Ford Ranger truck was identified as Rowen Robles Hendiren, a businessman and resident of Jaro, Iloilo City.
Investigation by Ivisan Municipal Police Station indicated that the truck was traversing the national highway from Brgy. Ilaya-Ivisan to Ivisan town proper when the victim crossed the road, which led to the accident.
The victim was taken to Capiz Doctors Hospital where he died two hours later.
Hendiren voluntarily surrendered to the police and his truck is now in police custody.
