A Grade 9 student accused of rape was arrested morning of February 15, 2021 in Tapaz, Capiz.
John Famucol, 19, was collared at his residence in Sitio Cabriana, Brgy. Agcococ.
Members of Jamindan Police Station led by Major Cherryl Visto arrested the suspect by virtue of an arrest warrant for rape under Art. 266-A (1) (a) of the Revised Penal Code.
The case is docketed as Criminal Case No. C-21-2174-02.
No bail bond was set for his temporary liberty.
Famucol was also accused of violating Section 5 (b), Article III of Republic Act. No. 7610 in Criminal Case No. C-21-2174-02. A PHP200,000 bail was recommended for his provisional freedom in this case.
Both arrest warrants were issued by Judge Rommel Leonor of the Regional Trial Court 6 (RTC-6) Branch 21, Mambusao, Iloilo on February 8, 2021.
