Grade 12 student nabbed over statutory rape raps

A Grade 12 student was arrested after he was accused of sexually molesting a minor.

Members of Anini-y Municipal Police Station collared alias Undo, 21, Sunday evening at their home in Barangay Magdalena, Anini-y, Antique.

Undo is the accused in Criminal Case No. 2024-01-10716.

Judge Ernesto Labio Abijay, Jr. of the Regional Trial Court 6 (RTC-6) Branch 10, San Jose, Antique, issued the arrest warrant on Jan. 11, 2024. No bail was set for his temporary liberty.

Undo is tagged as Antique province’s topmost wanted person.

According to Staff Sergeant Randolf Gomez, Anini-y police investigator, the incident happened in January 2023.

But the suspect insisted that there was no rape since the complainant was his girlfriend.
