ROXAS CITY, Capiz— A 26-year-old employee of the Panitan municipal government was killed in a road accident Monday evening at Barangay Enseñagan, Panitan, Capiz.
The police identified the victim as Jessie Dayalo of Ensenagan village who was declared dead on arrival in a hospital.
Investigation by the Panitan police indicated that Dayalo was driving a motorcycle home when he overtook another motorcycle.
But he was unaware that a truck driven by Prudencio Dadivas Jr., 49, of Brgy. Tico Panay was on the opposite lane which led to the crash.
Police Staff Sergeant Manuel Kenneth Anisco, Panitan PNP investigator, said the victim suffered fatal injuries on the different parts of his body.
The victim was taken to Bailan District Hospital in Pontevedra where he was declared dead on arrival.
Dadivas and the elf truck are in the custody of Panitan police station.
