BACOLOD City – An employee of the La Carlota City government in Negros Occidental was arrested in a buy-bust operation at Barangay Balabag on May 18.
Police identified the suspect as Roger Marañon, 43, of Barangay 1. He is assigned at the General Services Office.
Marañon was allegedly caught selling shabu to a police agent for P300.
He attempted to escape on board a motorcycle when he sensed the presence of police operatives in the area but he was cornered.
Police recovered from him three sachets of suspected shabu worth P4,300, the P300 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.
The suspect is now detained at La Carlota City Police Station for the filing of drug charges.
