Gov assures health measures in Panaad fest
BACOLOD City – Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said health measures against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) will be in place during the Panaad Festival in April 2020. Lacson also said the Panaad will definitely be held at the Panaad Park in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City on April 20 to 26.

BACOLOD City – Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said health measures against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) will be in place during the Panaad Festival in April 2020.
Lacson also said the Panaad will definitely be held at the Panaad Park in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City on April 20 to 26.
It will push through unless there is enough reason for its cancellation, he added.
Lacson said that the national government has already given the go signal for the holding of big events.
The provincial government, through the Provincial Health Office, will implement precautionary measures identified by the Department of Health amid the COVID- 19 threat.
Earlier Bago City said that it will hold its 54th Charter Anniversary celebration next month after it was cancelled due to COVID-19.
Sagay City also cancelled the celebration of its town fiesta scheduled early this month.
The Department of Health, Department of the Interior and Local Government, and Department of Tourism assured everyone that it is safe to organize and attend public gatherings, meetings and festivals as long as all precautionary measures are taken.
