This Christmas season, Globe Telecom hosted a festive appreciation luncheon for Iloilo’s media professionals and social media influencers—a thanksgiving fête to celebrate shared advocacies and express gratitude for their continued support.
The celebration was held at the plush Park Inn by Radisson Hotel. Warmly welcoming everyone were Globe’s top executives, led by Media Relations Manager Jomel Gonzaga; Integrated Communications and Digital Advocacy officers Marinnel Del Pozo and Pinky Tuason; Senior Director and Head for Public Relations, Communications Strategy and Sustainability Chito Maniago; and Visayas-Mindanao Area Manager Jaypee Gulay.
The luncheon was a heartfelt tribute to Iloilo’s media community and bloggers, who tirelessly supported Globe’s Alagang Globe initiatives for families affected by Typhoon Tino. These efforts included fast-tracked network restoration, relief operations, and free connectivity services across Visayas and Mindanao.
Services have been fully restored in Dinagat Islands and Surigao del Norte, with ongoing restoration in Cebu, Leyte and Negros Occidental. In partnership with Ayala Foundation’s Brigadang Ayala, Globe distributed food packs to affected communities and activated Libreng Tawag, charging, and Wi-Fi stations to help residents stay connected. The company also rolled out customer support programs, such as free data, extended bill payments, and donation channels via Globe Rewards and GCash.
