The Iloilo Mark V. Pinggol (MVP) Taekwondo gym is back on track after dominating during the recently concluded 2021 Women’s Martial Arts Festival.
Nine total medals were raked in by the prized jins of the MVP gym and once again put the City of Love back on the map of the sport.
Going up against the finest girl taekwondo athletes of the Philippines, the MVPinians rolled their way to their respective successes in the several categories of the tournament.
The tournament proper was divided into two main categories: Poomsae category and the Speed Kicking category.
For Poomsae, Julianna Martha Uy and Niesha Kariz Pequierda brought the gold medal for the MVP gym while Jilyn Rose Yap added a bronze medal.
Meanwhile, in the Speed Kicking event, Jannah Ysabel Velez, Marielle Faye Lagamo, and Lindsy Lorraine Degayo were the gold medalists.
Aside from the three gold medals, Alexis Eunice Araneta delivered a silver place finish while Shaena Maryel Lazara had bronze.
