Police withheld the names of the lone fatality and the wounded individuals which included three female minors who were passengers of a tricycle and two other male minors aged 17 who were riding a motorcycle.
Police Lieutenant Jaime Dequillo Jr., deputy police chief of Hinoba-an Municipal Police Station, said the motorcycle driven by a 17-year old boy hit a tricycle driven by Jerrey Gurmatico, 27, while they were approaching a bridge.
“Isa lang abi ka lane ang puwede ma agyan sa bridge kay gina kay-o, nag likaw na ang tricycle pero nalab-ot gid siya ka motor,” he added.
Dequillo said the motorcycle was allegedly speeding but they could not tell if the riders were under the influence of liquor.

Dequillo said Gurmatico will be released from police custody after the lapse of his 18-hour reglementary detention, adding that the family of the fatality also won’t pursue charges against him.
