Girl, 7, killed in road mishap

BACOLOD City – A seven-year-old girl died after she figured in a road accident at Hacienda Manuel Ko, Barangay Pandanon Silos, Murcia, Negros Occidental last Sunday.

Investigation disclosed that the victim was walking at the roadside when she was hit by a motorcycle driven by a 21-year-old man from Don Salvador Benedicto town.

The victim was taken to Murcia Health Unit but was declared dead on arrival.

Police believed that the motorcycle rider probably did not see the victim, who was walking on her way home.

Police said the motorcycle rider was also wounded in the accident.
