BACOLOD City – A three-year-old girl drowned in a pool in a farm resort in Hinigaran, Negros Occidental last Monday.
Police withheld the name of the victim.
Captain Ryan Villasario, town police chief, said the child accompanied by her father was swimming at the kiddie pool when the latter left his daughter for a while to go to the comfort room.
When he returned, he saw his daughter floating in the adult pool.
Villasario said nobody noticed the child transferring from the kiddie pool to the adult pool, adding that the resort has no lifeguard.
The victim was brought to Hinigaran Medical Clinic but was declared dead on arrival, according to Villasario.
Villasario said they only got the information from the clinic as the incident was not reported to the police.
