A member of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Class of 1995 has assumed the top post of the Police Regional Office (PRO) 6.
Effective June 19, Police Brigadier General Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr. is the new regional director of the Western Visayas police force.
The 51-year-old Peñones previously served as Deputy Director for Administration of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
He also led the PNP Legislative Affairs Center and formerly directed the Northern Police District under NCRPO and the Zambales Provincial Police Office.
Peñones, who uses the Facebook handle “Pojie Peñones Jr.,” is known for sharing Bible verses on his social media page.
Meanwhile, Brigadier General Jack Wanky is set to take command of PNP-Calabarzon, replacing Brigadier General Paul Kenneth Lucas, who once served as Iloilo police director.
The reshuffle order was released and took effect on June 19.
This latest round of reshuffling affected several key officers, particularly those holding star ranks.
