GCash opens Arthaland preferred share offering to retail investors Alternative head: You can now buy Arthaland shares for PHP 500 on GCash

MANILA – Retail investors can subscribe to Arthaland Corporation’s Series G and Series H preferred shares through GStocks PH inside the GCash app from September 14 to 25, 2026, with the shares priced at PHP 500 each.
Series G, to be listed as ALCPG, carries a dividend rate of 7.3260% per annum, while Series H, to be listed as ALCPH, carries 7.8105% per annum, subject to the terms and conditions of the issue.
The offering matters to ordinary savers because it puts a fixed-income-style instrument, one that historically required a bank account and a broker relationship to access, within reach of anyone with a fully verified GCash wallet and as little as PHP 500 to spare.
The trade-off is that the stated dividend rates are not guaranteed returns, and holders remain exposed to the financial health of the issuer, a property developer whose common shares have traded below PHP 1 apiece.
GStocks PH is offered by broker AB Capital Securities Inc. within the GCash app.
Preferred shares typically pay fixed dividends and give holders priority over common shareholders in receiving dividends.
Arthaland will offer up to 3 million cumulative, nonvoting, nonparticipating, nonconvertible, and redeemable peso-denominated preferred shares, down from the 4 million originally proposed, after the Securities and Exchange Commission en banc approved changes to the offer terms on September 10.
The offering retains an oversubscription option of up to 2 million preferred shares, and the offer period was extended to September 14 to 25 from the original September 14 to 18 schedule.
The revised offer is sized at PHP 2.5 billion, with proceeds earmarked for the completion of a property project, partial funding of the redemption of the company’s outstanding Series D preferred shares, and general corporate purposes.
The Arthaland sale is the latest test of a fully digital IPO and follow-on offering subscription feature on GStocks PH that is meant to remove the friction that has kept many Filipinos out of share issuances.
In the past, retail investors often needed a separate bank account to begin trading in the stock market and had to coordinate with a physical broker to participate in share issuances, including follow-on offerings.
The feature includes a built-in subscription meter and real-time allocation of the broker’s tranche, which lets investors check the availability of broker-allotted shares and confirm their share allocations at the moment of subscription rather than waiting for the close of the offer period.
Should the broker’s initial tranche be fully taken up and the offering become oversubscribed on GStocks PH, retail investors can still place orders and receive their allocation results after the offer period.
“Financial inclusion is not only about more financial services. It is about creating a simpler, more rewarding experience that keeps Filipinos’ needs in mind. By digitizing financial services and making investing more convenient, we make it easier for Filipinos to participate and take greater control of their financial journeys,” emphasized Winsley Bangit, Group Head of New Businesses at Mynt.
Fully verified GCash users can access the platform by opening the GCash app, going to Invest, and selecting GStocks PH.
The platform offers instant onboarding to new users and free fund transfers to and from the GCash wallet with no bank account needed.
GCash describes itself as the country’s largest cashless ecosystem, with more than 6 million partner merchants and social sellers, and its mobile wallet operations are handled by G-Xchange, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Mynt, which it bills as the first and only USD 5 billion fintech unicorn in the Philippines.
The company says it supports United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 5, 8, 10, and 13, covering gender equality, decent work and economic growth, reduced inequalities, and climate action.
