GAB plans “Isumbong Mo” hotline for health protocol violators

The Games and Amusements Board (GAB) is eyeing to launch the “Isumbong Mo” hotline for those athletes who will violate health and safety protocols released by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases.

GAB’s main target will be the players in the professional leagues that already resumed their practices, especially the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) and the Philippine Football League (PFL).

Abraham “Baham” Mitra, GAB’s chairman, said that he and his office have implemented this project as part of their continuing drive to maintain a safe and healthy training session for the players.

Mitra and GAB got the idea from the NBA’s NBA hotline where players or personnel can directly call and report fellow players, coaches, or any staff that can be seen violating health guidelines in their bubble at Disney World, Florida.

“We will adopt that. I will agree to putting up a hotline in case na magkaroon ng problema,” said chairman Mitra.

With PBA and PFL’s resumption of practices, GAB is closely monitoring the progression of practices while making sure that everyone follows the strict health protocols imposed.
