Nueva Ecija keeps on signing big names with their rebuilding process currently on a positive note due to their off-season decision making.
After signing UP Fighting Maroons’ Juan and Javi Gomez de Liaño to start off their next season campaign, the management decided to land another big name to help them make a run for the title.
Gab Banal, Bacoor City’s veteran forward, agreed to sign with the Rice Vanguards and is expected to bring his leadership and tenacity to help the team.
Also, Banal’s arrival is a reunion between him and former Mighty Sports Go for Gold coach, Charles Tiu.
For Tiu, Banal’s impact on the team will bring positivity and instill a championship and winning mentality that is crucial to their young guns.
“Banal was a former MVP in our league and is a very good leader. His work ethic is tremendous and he can do so many different things offensively giving us versatility,” added coach Tiu.
The coach Tiu led squad will try to improve their 10-20 record and with the addition of the GDL brothers and Banal, will surely make a strong case for playoffs contention.
