Four-year-old, senior citizen drown in separate incidents
BACOLOD CITY – A four-year-old boy and a 68-year-old man died from drowning in separate incidents in Negros Occidental last Monday. In Bago City, a kindergarten pupil was found deceased beside a river in Barangay Ma-ao. According to police, the boy was following his mother as they walked along the riverbank.

BACOLOD CITY – A four-year-old boy and a 68-year-old man died from drowning in separate incidents in Negros Occidental last Monday.
In Bago City, a kindergarten pupil was found deceased beside a river in Barangay Ma-ao.
According to police, the boy was following his mother as they walked along the riverbank. The mother paused to rest while carrying some items.
When she returned to check on him, the child had vanished. His body was later discovered floating in the river about 20 meters from where she had stopped, likely having fallen into the water, police said.
In a separate incident, a 68-year-old man was found lifeless in Barangay Buluangan, San Carlos City. Police report that after a drinking session with friends, the man went swimming in the sea and drowned.
