BACOLOD City – Four puppies were killed in a grass fire at Pueblo 2, Barangay Zone 12A, Talisay City, Negros Occidental yesterday.
According to a Facebook post of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), the fire broke out around 1:37 p.m.
After the fire was put under control, rescuers found the puppies on the burnt grasses.
Rescuers and firefighters tried to save the puppies, but failed because of possible suffocation from the smoke.
The CDRRMO added that the puppies also suffered burns.
It was the second fire call that they have responded yesterday.
