BACOLOD City – Four persons were busted for alleged sale and possession of dangerous drugs in separate police operations in Negros Occidental last Wednesday.
In San Carlos City, Jordan Calunsag, 31, of Barangay 3, and Cesar Pasilan, 54, of Barangay Rizal were apprehended in a buy-bust in Barangay 3, following the seizure of 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P340,000.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Jesus Mesahon, San Carlos City police chief, said that Calunsag was an alleged former member of a drug group.
He said that Calunsag was also previously arrested for a drug offense and was later released through plea bargaining.
Both are high-value individuals, according to Mesahon.
Police also confiscated from them a digital scale, two lighters, aluminum foil, and the P4,000 marked money.
Meanwhile, in Silay City, Nelson Baldonasa, 52, and Cristina Aventura, 48, both residents of Barangay Mambulac were arrested in a drug bust in the said village.
Police recovered from them 16 grams of suspected shabu worth P128,000, and the P1,100 marked money.
