Four murder suspects surrender

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Four suspects in the murder of a hog raiser surrendered Sunday to a village head in Sigma, Capiz.
Police identified the suspects as barangay kagawad Lamberto Fajartin, 56; Vicente Fajartin, 29; Melchor Fajartin, 30; and Johnny Fajartin, 41, all of Barangay Pinamalatican Sigma Capiz.
Punong Barangay Gilda Bignayan of Barangay Pinamalatican, Sigma, Capiz encouraged them to surrender to Sigma Mayor Dante Eslabon.
The four were subsequently turned over to the Sigma Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
The police, then, served the warrants of arrest against the suspects who were charged with murder.
Judge Lorencito Diaz of the Regional Trial Court Branch 17 issued the warrants on August 1, 2023. They were not allowed to post bail.
The suspects were charged for the shooting and torching of John Fria inside his car in Mejorada subdivision at corner Mabini-San Roque Streets here in November 2022.
