Four cousins were arrested in a police anti-narcotics operation on the evening of October 23 in Molo, Iloilo City.
Police identified the suspects as brothers Mark, 34, and Ronnie, 29, and their cousins Raymond, 23, and Jayson, 21.
All are residents of Zone 2, Barangay San Juan, Molo, where the operation was also conducted.
Members of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) 6 arrested the suspects after Mark sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer for PHP 12,000.
Police recovered 14 sachets of suspected shabu from the suspects.
Major Marvin Villanueva, RPDEU-6 deputy chief, said the seized drugs weighed approximately 135 grams and were valued at PHP 918,000.
Villanueva said Mark was the main target of the operation.
His brother and cousins were present during the buy-bust, which led to their arrest.
Police conducted a one-month surveillance before finally apprehending the suspects.
They are currently detained and will be charged with violations of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
