ROXAS City – Four towns in the province of Capiz have no active cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Based on recent data from the Provincial Health Office (PHO), the towns of Jamindan, Sapian, Sigma and Tapaz have not logged any case in the past days.
Tapaz Mayor Roberto Palomar said the massive vaccination effort and strict implementation of health protocols contributed to their COVID-free status.

But the PHO reminded the public to observe health protocols and not to be complacent amid the good news.
Health officials also reminded the public to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
Data also showed that active Covid cases in Capiz dropped to 78. The remaining cases are in Roxas City (41), President Roxas (8), Dumarao (6), Dumalag (5), Panitan (5), Panay (3), Dao (2), Maayon (2), Mambusao (2), Cuartero (1), Ivisan (1), Pilar (1), and Pontevedra (1).
