ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A raid executed by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency on Wednesday afternoon, March 20, resulted in the arrest of four individuals at a location suspected to be a drug den on Premier De Mayo Street in Brgy. 9, Roxas City.
The suspects, identified as Wilbert Mariano, 33; Joepany Vista, 24; Welnie Vista, 28, who is Joepany’s live-in partner; and Vanessa Tubalde, 23, are all local residents.
Authorities confiscated nine sachets of what is believed to be illegal shabu, P500 in marked money, a lighter, an improvised tooter, and other drug paraphernalia from the site.
Mariano, pinpointed as the primary subject of the raid, admitted to using illegal drugs but rebuffed allegations of involvement in drug trafficking.
All four individuals are now in custody at the Roxas Component City Police Station, awaiting further legal proceedings.
