ROXAS CITY, Capiz— Four persons were arrested in separate police drug bust operations over the weekend in Capiz.
The Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of Roxas City PNP and Provincial Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA-Capiz) first collared Micheal Villanueva, 39, and his live-in partner Rosel Arroyo, both of Sitio Ilaya, Barangay Sibaguan, Roxas City.
The drug bust was conducted at Brgy. Sibaguan here.
Recovered from Villanueva and Arroyo were five sachets of suspected shabu, P500 marked money, and several drug paraphernalia.
On Saturday, the Pontevedra town police and the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) nabbed Arkie Bulaclac Cabuguas, 33, of Malipayon Village at Barangay Tacas, Pontevedra.
Recovered from Cabuguas were four sachets of suspected illegal drugs, P500 marked money and P1,000 boodle or fake money used in the buy-bust, and a cellular phone.
Police estimated the total market value of the recovered substance at P6,800.
Meanwhile, the joint team of the Roxas City PNP and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested Nicanor Macalintal, 46, of Sitio Nipa, Barangay Culasi at Sitio Sumiga, Brgy. Milibili here.
Macalintal yielded nine sachets of suspected shabu, P1,000 marked money, a cellphone, and several drug paraphernalia.
The suspect was the subject of a previous drug bust at Sitio Nipa, Barangay Culasi in July 2020 but he managed to flee.
The suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
