Capt. Gimel Acuesta formally assumed command of the ICPS 2, replacing Lt. Col. Lorenez Losaria, who was designated to temporarily head Iloilo City Police Station 9 in Jaro.

Losaria had temporarily assumed leadership of Police Station 2 following the relief of Capt. Jeffrey Delgado on Jan. 8.
Acuesta previously served as chief of Iloilo City Police Station 4, also known as the Molo Police Station.
After his relief from Police Station 4, Acuesta was designated officer in charge of Police Station 9 in Jaro.
