A foreman was arrested in an anti-illegal drug operation on the afternoon of October 17 in Sebaste, Antique.
The suspect, identified only as alias Robert, 40, of Sitio Proper, Barangay Igbong, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo, was apprehended during a buy-bust operation.
Members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 6, PDEA Antique, Antique Police Provincial Office Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (APPO-PDEU), and Sebaste Municipal Police Station conducted the operation at 2:36 p.m. on Thursday at Sitio Cala-Cala, Barangay Poblacion, Sebaste.
The suspect allegedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu for PHP16,000.
Upon frisking, authorities recovered nine more sachets of suspected shabu, a brown wallet, an eyeglasses pouch, and PHP90 in cash from the suspect.
The seized drugs weighed approximately 120 grams, with a standard drug price of PHP816,000.
It was reported that Robert ranked third on PDEA’s target list.
He is currently detained and will face charges for violations of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
